We believe at Southview that having men connect and journey in authentic community and spiritual growth is formative in helping men become disciples of Jesus and live out the UP, IN and OUT dimensions of our symbol. One of the places in scripture and throughout the gospel this UP, IN and OUT rhythm is described in Luke 6:12-19.

The foundation of Southview Men is men’s small groups where life on life happens, authentic community is fostered, and spiritual growth takes place. Our goal is to connect our men to small groups while at the same time creating other connection points in partnership with Family Ministries.
Connection points include:
Men’s small groups
Sporting events (Turkey Bowl, May Bowl)
Monday Night Football / NHL Events
Men’s breakfasts
Bi-annual Men’s Retreat
Getting our men involved and discipling others happens as we raise up men to facilitate and lead men’s small groups.
As our men are devoted followers of Christ, our goal is to have strong families who are also devoted followers of Christ, strong church participants who are devoted followers of Christ, and strong communities comprised of devoted followers of Christ.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings out the best of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
