To ignite men in all areas of their relationships: with their spouses and children; with other men both in and outside the faith. To equip men to make disciples who in turn make disciples.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you”. (Romans 12:1-2)
The foundation of Southview Men is men’s small groups where life on life happens and authentic community is fostered and spiritual growth takes place. Our goal is to connect our men to small groups while at the same time creating other connection points in partnership with Family Ministries.
These connection points are consistent throughout the year, such as:
- Men’s small groups
- Participating in sporting events like the Turkey Bowl, May Bowl
- Monday Night Football Event or NHL Event
- Men’s breakfast
- Bi-annual Men’s Retreat
Getting our men involved and discipling others will happen through raising up other men to facilitate & lead men’s small groups.
As our men are devoted followers of Christ, we will have strong families who are devoted followers of Christ, strong church participants who are devoted followers of Christ, and we will have strong communities comprised of devoted followers of Christ.
