You Don’t Have to Wait
Just think about how vibrant our church could be if all the “OK” marriages became “GOOD,” and all the “GOOD” marriages became “GREAT?” Our hope is that more and more couples would find value in getting intentional about enriching their marriages. Too often, couples wait until they find themselves in trouble, some even at the brink of divorce before asking for help.
Almost every married couple experiences conflicts in their marriage they are unable to resolve. The solutions come when spouses begin refocusing their perspectives, but most will not or cannot do it on their own. They need another couple to come alongside them in a mentoring relationship. Our enrichment process points them back to Biblical principles and guides them to once again find value in the characteristics of their spouse.
Marriage Mentoring ministry pairs a trained volunteer mentor couple with another married couple for 13 mentoring sessions over a 6 month to one year period. A structured curriculum provides excellent support in areas key to a successful marriage – commitment, identity, forgiveness, communication, conflict resolution, finances, and intimacy.
We also use an online tool called the Uniquely United Assessment. It is a key component as you get started in the mentoring process. This assessment will help you understand how God has uniquely created you, begin to value each other’s differences as strengths, identify areas of adaptation and understand why they are occurring, and learn how to communicate with each other more effectively.
- Cost is $150/couple – which includes all materials and assessment tools.
- Please contact Family Ministries if you are interested in entering into a marriage mentoring relationship, or if you are interested in becoming Marriage Mentors.
