Our preschool seeks to be a wholesome, safe and nurturing place where little children can happily learn about God, themselves and their world, and where they can build character qualities to become the people God wants them to be. We believe our mandate is to provide an educational experience that will be effective in the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of each child.
Spiritual Development…by giving children an awareness of God and His love for them and the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Prayer, Memory Verses, Christian Songs and Bible Stories are a part of the curriculum.
Intellectual Development…by providing a stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, comprehension and critical thinking.
Physical Development…by using a gymnasium and equipment for fun and for the development of large motor skills, coordination and physical fitness.
Emotional Development…by teaching and modelling respect, patience and love for others; good communication skills; and the sharing of toys and materials, taking turns, etc. And by helping children to have self-control; awareness of their own feelings and an ability to express those feelings to God; healthy self-esteem and self-confidence; and freedom to make mistakes and persistence to try again.
Our preschool’s curriculum includes reading and math readiness, science, story circle, music, drama, computers, art, crafts and free play at a wide variety of centres. We have immediate access to a gymnasium for indoor physical activities as well.
